Bis ans Ende der Träume

The film follows Katharina von Arx and Freddy Drilhon, who meet in Polynesia and share a dream of living freely and authentically. As Katharina gains recognition as a reporter and illustrator, Freddy finds his path as a photographer. Their journey leads them to Romainmôtier, where they attempt to restore a ruined priory and build a life together.

However, the pressures of their ambitious visions strain their relationship. Katharina dedicates herself to the restoration project, while Freddy struggles with feelings of isolation and depression in their new home. This emotional turmoil culminates in a crisis that forces them apart, with Freddy moving to the south coast of England to seek a new beginning. Despite their separation, the bond they share remains strong.
