Bitter Victory

The film follows Xavier Alvarez, a small architect from Aix-en-Provence, who seeks social recognition and larger public contracts. His ambitions lead him to support Vincent Cluzel, an outsider candidate for mayor, believing that helping him win will be mutually beneficial.

As Xavier employs energy and cunning to undermine the favorite candidate, he successfully helps elect his ally. However, the film delves into the complexities of their friendship as it is tested by ambition and self-interest.
