Blessed Misfortune!

The story revolves around a lumberjack pursued by a creature named Mishap, who ultimately decides to live with him. As Mishap grows bored, it persuades the lumberjack to sell it to the wealthy merchant Habermoos. This transaction leads to Mishap being sold to a king who is facing bankruptcy and threats of war.

The film explores themes of misfortune and the burdens of responsibility as young Michael, the lumberjack's acquaintance, is drafted into war for the king. Mishap attempts to follow him, but Michael eventually realizes he must rid himself of the troublesome creature to focus on more pressing matters.
