Bolshoi Ballet: The Bright Stream

Set during a harvest festival at a collective farm, the story revolves around a ballerina who reunites with her childhood friend Zina. In a twist of events, Zina, the ballerina, and her husband decide to swap roles for the evening to teach him a lesson about his unfaithfulness.

This production highlights the genius of Shostakovich’s score and is filled with slapstick comedy, hilarious deceptions, and colorful characters. Principal Dancer Ruslan Skvortsov even performs dressed as a Sylph, adding to the humor and charm of the evening.
