Bolshoi Theatre: Marco Spada's ballet

Marco Spada was originally created in 1857 at the Paris Opera, with choreography by Joseph Mazilier and music adapted from Daniel Auber’s comic opera. The ballet was long forgotten until its revival in 1981, featuring new choreography by Pierre Lacotte for the Rome Opera. The Bolshoi Theatre premiered Marco Spada on November 8, 2013, continuing its legacy on a historic stage.
