Bomberman: Yuuki o Arigatou Watashi ga Mimi ni Naru

The film follows Rieko, an elementary school student navigating life with her deaf and mute parents and younger sister after a devastating earthquake. Rieko dreams of becoming a cartoonist and expresses this passion through her doodles of Bomberman and his friends. Amid the chaos of their ravaged neighborhood, Rieko’s drawings serve as a bridge to connect with others in the community.

As Rieko and her family seek shelter, misunderstandings arise due to communication barriers, but she steps up to help resolve conflicts. With the support of Kyoko, a volunteer worker from Tokyo, Rieko fosters a sense of unity among the shelter's occupants. The film showcases how creativity can bring people together, even in difficult circumstances, highlighting themes of friendship and understanding through Rieko's comic drawings featuring Bomberman characters.
