The story follows Chester Winfield, who struggles to fit in as a lumberjack due to his lack of strength and the jealousy of foreman Big Bill Reardon. After catching the attention of Hazel Wood, the camp’s waitress, Chester's troubles escalate as Big Bill attempts to eliminate him.
