Bottom Feeder is a curious little gem from 2007 that drips with that claustrophobic horror vibe. Set in these dank, grimy tunnels, you feel the anxiety building as the utility workers get trapped. The creature design is where it stands out—this scientist turned mutant, who ingests and becomes whatever it eats, adds a bizarre twist. It’s both grotesque and fascinating. The practical effects lend a gritty realism that CGI just can't replicate, making the creature's transformations quite disturbing. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but it somehow works in creating a tense atmosphere. Performances are solid; you can tell the cast really leans into the script's darker tones. It’s definitely one of those underground horror flicks that has its quirks.
