Boucherie Halal

The film centers on a Muslim couple who open a butcher shop in Montreal, aiming to integrate into Quebec society. However, complications arise when the husband's father, an imam, establishes a mosque in the back room and promotes his fundamentalist beliefs.

Tensions escalate when the imam is arrested by the RCMP due to suspicions of past terrorist activities. The son, caught between his loyalty to his father and love for his wife, finds himself entangled in a plot to free the imam. Meanwhile, the butcher's wife, frustrated with her husband's inability to confront his father's influence, ultimately chooses to leave and seek a more fulfilling life outside their community.
