Broncho Billy's Mistake

The film features Broncho Billy, a woodsman in northern Montana, who encounters Paul Harding, an artist from New York City. Harding arrives with a letter of introduction and is welcomed into Broncho Billy's home, where he becomes intrigued by Broncho Billy's wife, seeing her as a subject for his portrait.

As Harding teaches her to read and write, he also introduces her to the broader world, creating a bond that sparks jealousy in Broncho Billy. The plot thickens when Harding receives news of a family emergency, prompting Broncho Billy's wife to take him to the train station. Misunderstanding the situation, Broncho Billy believes his wife is eloping with Harding, leading to a tense confrontation between the two men.
