Bronstein's Children

The story follows eighteen-year-old Hans Bronstein, who arrives at his parents' summer house with his girlfriend, only to discover a former Nazi camp Kapo chained there. This Kapo was involved in the imprisonment of Hans's father, Arno, and his friends during the war. The film delves into the tension between Hans's desire for legal justice and Arno's inclination for personal revenge, highlighting the generational trauma that complicates their relationship.

As the narrative unfolds, Hans's sister, Elle, adds another layer to the family's struggle. Her trauma has led to institutionalization, making her unable to mediate the conflict between her brother and father.
