Carmen van het Noorden

The story follows Joz, a young police officer in Rotterdam, who is tasked with investigating the murder of a prostitute named Maria. His investigation leads him to Carmen, a woman he falls deeply in love with, causing him to end his engagement with his fiancée, Maryam. However, Carmen remains emotionally distant, complicating Joz's life further as his work begins to deteriorate, leading to his suspension.

As Joz continues to pursue the case, he uncovers the truth about Carmen's brother, Steve, who has been wrongfully imprisoned. The plot thickens as jealousy drives Joz to attack Carmen, leading to a series of events where friends intervene to help Joz and Steve escape abroad. The climax reveals that the murder was committed by Lisa, Joz's boss, due to her husband's connection to Maria. This shocking twist culminates in a tragic confrontation where Joz is shot by Lisa.
