Carmita follows Carmen Ignarra, who left Cuba decades ago in pursuit of her dreams in Hollywood. Now at 80 years old, she lives in Monterrey, Mexico, forgotten and surrounded by tenants she suspects of theft. The documentary captures her reflections on fame, talent, and lost loves as Laura, a young woman from the Caribbean, documents Carmen's life with her video camera.
