The film follows Stela Nebeská, who faces setbacks in both her career and marriage as she approaches forty. After losing her theater job and discovering her husband's infidelity, Stela refuses to give up. She decides to hold auditions for a new romantic partner, determined to find someone who will make her husband envious.

Throughout her journey, Stela encounters a series of eccentric suitors, each date leading to humorous and often disastrous outcomes. This comedy highlights the ups and downs of dating while dealing with personal crises.
