Cellmates

The film follows Leroy Lowe, the grand dragon of the Texas Ku Klux Klan, who faces a life-altering experience when he is sentenced to three years of hard labor on a prison work farm. Confronted with his prejudices, Leroy is forced to share a cell with Emilio, a Hispanic field worker imprisoned for fighting for labor rights. The unlikely pairing begins to challenge Leroy's deeply ingrained beliefs.

As Leroy interacts with Emilio and participates in rehabilitation meetings led by Warden Merville, he starts to experience a shift in perspective. The introduction of Madalena, a Mexican maid hired to clean the warden's office, further complicates Leroy's views on love and acceptance.
