Celsius 41.11 is an interesting entry in the documentary genre, attempting to tackle the narrative around President Bush, 9/11, and the Iraq War. It has a very pointed tone, almost like it's got a chip on its shoulder about the mainstream portrayal of those events. The pacing is pretty fast, almost too much at times, as it rushes through various accusations and retorts. It feels like a corrective lens, if you will, aimed at Kerry's long Senate career and the criticisms leveled against Bush. The practical effects aren’t a focus here since it’s mostly archival footage and interviews, but it does have a certain raw energy in its presentation. Performances aren’t really applicable, though some segments feel almost theatrical in their delivery. Quite distinctive for its perspective, that's for sure.
Offers a unique viewpoint on controversial subjects.Fast pacing might overwhelm some viewers.Heavy use of archival footage and interviews.
