The film centers on Sokhina, a madwoman living under a tree in the market, who becomes pregnant after forming physical relationships with various market-goers. After Sokhina's death, Moira Masi takes on the responsibility of raising her nameless daughter, referred to as Falani. As Falani matures, she develops a bond with a young man named Kashu, prompting hopes of marriage among the market's residents.

However, the story takes a dramatic turn when Kashu's father reveals a dark secret to Falani, leading to a fate similar to her mother’s. This film delves into themes of love, societal judgment, and the cyclical nature of life in a tightly-knit community, making it a poignant representation of its genre.
