Checkpoint

The film, also known as "Machsom," follows Yaniv Greenblatt, a young Israeli soldier grappling with his conscience at a dangerous checkpoint. At just 19, he faces pressure from his superiors while trying to maintain his ideals of fairness towards Palestinians. His struggles are further complicated by his home life, where his mother, affected by past violence, holds extreme views.

Yaniv's relationship with his younger brother, Avi, adds another layer to the story. Avi attends a mixed Jewish-Arab school, which places him in a unique position, bridging divides that are often seen as insurmountable. As the narrative unfolds, an incident at the checkpoint forces both brothers and their family to confront their beliefs and the harsh realities of their environment.
