Cholly Polly

In Cholly Polly, a cat and dog are blissfully sleeping together when a parrot intervenes. The parrot, frustrated by their peacefulness, resorts to tactics from his copy of Mein Kramp to sow discord between them. His attempts include a Hitler impression and coaxing the dog to attack the cat, but the dog remains uninterested.

The parrot escalates his efforts by feeding catnip to Myrtle the Cat, which finally incites a fight. However, as the cat and dog realize the parrot's role in their conflict, they turn their anger toward him. This animated short blends humor with a satirical take on manipulation and rivalry, making it a unique piece of 1940s animation.
