Christmas Lodge is an interesting blend of drama and family themes wrapped in a holiday setting. Mary Tobin returns to this charming lodge from her childhood, and it's a bit of a downer at first—the place is in bad shape, which sets a slightly nostalgic yet somber tone. The pacing does have its moments where it feels stretched, but it gives you time to soak in the atmosphere of the lodge itself. There’s a sense of community and the importance of family that runs through the narrative, really grounding it. The performances, especially from the lead, add a warm authenticity. There's a sprinkle of fantasy that feels subtle but effective, making it a distinct watch amidst the usual holiday fare.
