The story of Classic unfolds in Russia, where an established society of billiards players is depicted. Many members have become wealthy, yet their former teachers live in poverty. To honor these teachers, the younger generation plans to provide them with a mansion for better living conditions, but one authority figure, Savitsky, disrupts this goodwill by stealing the funds.

In response to Savitsky's betrayal, the billiards community devises a plan for retribution. They send a skilled pool player known as Classic to confront him. This intense showdown not only highlights the stakes involved in their world of high-stakes billiards but also reflects the larger themes of respect and support among peers in a challenging environment.
