The narrative centers on 14-year-old Nina, who grapples with her father's emotional distance following their divorce. Her father, an avid UFO observer, becomes oblivious to the challenges Nina faces, leading to a pivotal event when she takes his car to attend a party and crashes it. Misinterpreting the crash as a sign of alien activity, her father remains unaware of the real struggles occurring within their family dynamic.
