Closing Time has this grim atmosphere that really pulls you in, right from the start. Eddy's journey feels deeply personal, driven by a vendetta and the shadows of his father's death—it’s super heavy on themes of vengeance and the consequences of obsession. The pacing has a nice build-up, keeping you guessing, but it really ramps up with the introduction of those vengeful spirits that add a layer of existential dread. Practical effects are decent, not over-the-top, but they serve the story well. Performances are pretty solid too, especially Eddy’s—there’s a raw edge to his desperation that makes it engaging. It's a mix of psychological thriller and horror that lingers in your mind. A distinctive take on grief and revenge, for sure.
