Color-Blinded (1998) is a quirky comedy that tackles some pretty interesting themes around identity and self-perception. Mark Pirro directs with a light touch, and the pacing is pretty breezy, making it an easy watch. The premise is definitely out there—our protagonist's transformation is achieved through a potion, leading to some amusing practical effects that feel delightfully dated. Performances are a mixed bag, but the lead does bring a certain charm to her dilemma. There's an earnestness in the exploration of race and relationships that feels both comedic and sincere, though it's definitely a product of its time. Not every joke lands, but it has a unique angle that keeps it distinct in the '90s comedy landscape.
