So, 'Combination Platter' is really an interesting watch, you know? It dives into the life of this guy working in a Chinese restaurant in NYC, and man, the tone is pretty gritty yet personal. You really feel the weight of his desperation for that green card. The pacing, while a bit slow at times, really lets you soak in the atmosphere of the restaurant and the various characters that come and go. I found the performances to be quite raw and genuine, especially from the lead. It explores themes of love, identity, and the immigrant experience without getting too preachy, which is a nice touch. There’s this sense of realism throughout that makes it stand out among typical dramas of that era. Worth a watch if you appreciate character-driven stories.
