Conflict: Outbreak has this gritty vibe that really pulls you in. The shrouded world of the yakuza is captured well, with a heavy dose of tension stemming from the power struggle after the Hyodo-gumi boss gets whacked. Kazuma Washio, played solidly by Hitoshi Ozawa, is navigating both loyalty and betrayal, which sets a really engaging tone. The pacing is pretty tight, with enough drama to keep you hooked, and the action sequences feel raw and unrefined without over-reliance on flashy effects.
