Conscience Penpoint of King Ali Haji

The film tells the story of King Haji Fisabililah, who dies in battle against the Dutch, setting the stage for his daughter, Engku Putri Hamidah, to hold the regalia of the Malay Kingdom. However, the Dutch seize this regalia, leading to her anguish as she witnesses the suffering of her people.

King Haji’s grandson, King Ali Haji, takes up the mantle of resistance against Dutch colonial rule, albeit through peaceful means. His writings serve as a form of opposition, with one of his notable works being Gurindam Dua Belas. The film presents a compelling narrative that intertwines personal and national struggles, centered around the historical context of the Malay Kingdom.
