Countryside Accountant's Government Reform

The film follows Genichiro Okugawa, who is appointed as the head of accounting in a feudal domain. With a runtime of 45 minutes, it presents a compact narrative filled with intrigue and conflict, as Genichiro encounters masked samurai and faces resistance from his subordinates upon his arrival.

As Genichiro navigates the challenges of his position, he is supported by Sukezaemon Tsuda, a public works supervisor who recognizes the importance of Genichiro's proposed reforms. The film's tension builds as Genichiro's marriage to Matsuo, the daughter of a senior councilor, brings additional complications, including allegations of corruption against him.
