Coup De Grace is one of those films that drifts between comedy and crime, almost like a curious blend of lightheartedness and absurdity. Fred's character, a rather hapless jewelry company employee, finds himself in a tight spot when his diamond stash goes missing. There's a certain charm to the way the film captures Fred's desperation and the lengths he'll go to in order to win over Tina and impress her father. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but that's part of its quirky appeal. Practical effects are scarce, but the comedic performances really shine, particularly from Seng, Fred's somewhat sleazy accomplice. It has this oddball vibe that makes it distinctive; you can tell it’s not aiming for mainstream, and maybe that’s what gives it its character.
Quirky blend of comedy and crime elements.Fred's character is notably hapless yet endearing.Seng adds a smarmy flair to the heist narrative.
