Crash Point Zero is one of those action flicks that gets a bit lost in the shuffle of early 2000s cinema. The premise is intriguing, revolving around a weapon from Tesla's genius mind—there's some real potential for a deeper narrative, but it mainly skims the surface. The pacing, while trying to maintain tension, sometimes drags, especially in character moments. You get a mixed bag of performances; some are surprisingly decent, while others feel a bit stiff. The film's atmosphere, set against the backdrop of the Canadian mountains, has a certain claustrophobic tension that works in its favor. Practical effects offer a nostalgic touch, which is nice, but overall, it feels like a missed opportunity to explore its themes more deeply.
