Cruel Horizon

The story follows Nick Vandom, a soldier who forms a bond with a local friend, Mai, during the Vietnam War. As U.S. troops withdraw, Nick makes a harrowing escape to the airport with Mai, but he leaves her behind, facing an uncertain future. Years later, plagued by guilt, Nick receives a desperate plea for help from Mai, prompting him to return to Thailand in search of her.
