Crystal Book

The film follows JB, an academic renowned for his studies of oriental culture. Struggling with the aftermath of his wife's suicide, he returns to Sri Lanka to translate a significant book about glass, believed to contain Buddha's insights on memory.

As JB navigates his personal conflicts, he encounters Julia, a nurse who enlists his help to assist a young boy searching for his father in a Tamil-occupied area. The dangers of this region are compounded by the presence of Tamil terrorists, who threaten anyone who dares to trespass.

The narrative unfolds with JB's past looming over him, particularly his former home in the conflict zone. Unbeknownst to JB, the boy's true intentions are tied to the ongoing tensions in the area, leading to a suspenseful and thought-provoking journey.
