Dark Vision has this gritty, claustrophobic vibe that really pulls you in. The catacombs beneath the gothic tower, they feel ancient and alive, like they’re hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Spencer Knights, the TV host, is a bit of a reckless character, which adds to the tension as his crew’s safety hangs by a thread. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it works for the creeping dread they’re going for. The practical effects are a highlight; they have this rawness that CGI just can’t replicate. Plus, the themes of ambition and the consequences of meddling with forces we don’t understand make it a bit more than just a typical horror flick.
