The film follows Lenny, a young children's book author who discovers a roll of film in an old camera. Upon developing the photos, he finds images from Prague in 1968, coinciding with the end of the Prague Spring. One photo features a young woman, leading Lenny to publish it in a local newspaper in hopes of finding her.

However, this decision triggers a series of violent events, including a break-in at his family's home and the murder of his father. Lenny believes these incidents are connected to the photos, yet he faces disbelief from his sister and the police. The plot thickens as he receives an anonymous letter with a Prague address, prompting him to travel to the Czech capital in search of answers.
