Dead Space: Downfall is a solid piece in the animated horror genre, especially for fans of the video game series. The animation is gritty and captures that claustrophobic, eerie vibe of deep space. Chuck Patton does a commendable job building tension, blending sci-fi with supernatural elements. You can really feel the weight of the ancient relic as it shifts the tone from exploration to survival horror. The pacing keeps you on edge, and the practical effects, while not groundbreaking, add a certain rawness to the alien encounters. The character performances are pretty decent, especially for an animated feature, giving it a level of depth that some might not expect.
