The story follows Amanda, a singer who finally lands a chance to host a big TV show but struggles to balance her career with her responsibilities as a mother. She decides to send her ten-year-old son, Joshua, to his father, Bernhard, who lives in a remote mountain area. However, during the courier journey, Joshua becomes the target of a kidnapping plot by the courier driver Maurice and waitress Lizzi.

As events unfold, the kidnapping plan goes awry due to the criminals' intoxication, allowing Joshua to escape. Alone, he embarks on an adventure through the mountains, aiming to return to the valley.
