So, 'Devil Face, Angel Heart' is an intriguing blend of action and psychological tension, really. The deformed assassin Lon has a dark charm about him, and the way his relationship with his brother Kwan unfolds adds layers to the story. I mean, the pacing can be uneven at times, but it builds this gritty atmosphere that feels almost claustrophobic. The performances have this raw edge, especially from the lead, who captures Lon's tortured soul well. There are some striking practical effects peppered throughout, especially in the action sequences that really stand out. The twisted love story with Wendy, the boss's girlfriend, adds a layer of moral ambiguity that lingers in your mind. Definitely a unique entry in the genre, for sure.
