Die Heilerin

Die Heilerin tells the story of Halfried Seelig, a woman who has long suppressed her healing gift. When she finally chooses to use her abilities to help a sick man, word spreads quickly, igniting a series of events that affect her family.

The narrative also follows Halfried's daughter, Marion, who faces a marital crisis on her wedding day and decides to return to her parents' home in Tyrol with her daughter, Laura. As Marion attempts to reclaim her medical career and take over her father's surgery, she confronts resistance from the local community and struggles with her own relationship with her mother. The film highlights the tension between inherited abilities and personal choice, ultimately weaving a tale of family, acceptance, and the challenges of reconciling past and future.
