The film centers around Michael, a hardened petty criminal who, during a frantic escape in Prague, saves a young woman named Klara from jumping off a bridge. This act of bravery leads him to reconnect with Father Christoph, a priest who offers Michael refuge in a monastery. There, Michael discovers a new path, entering the seminary and honing his skills as a restorer.

Years later, Michael returns to Prague and unexpectedly crosses paths with Klara again. Although he remembers her vividly, she does not recognize him, setting the stage for a poignant reconnection.
