The story revolves around a man's corpse found on the seashore, prompting a thorough investigation led by young investigator Kovalev. As the plot unfolds, Kovalev uncovers the identity of the victim and his pursuer, a provocateur linked to the Hitlerites who betrayed a group of underground fighters.
