Does the American Moon Rise Over Itaewon ?

The story follows Yu Jin, a gang member who will go to any lengths for money, including violence. His primary concern is his half-brother Dol Ee, while other characters like Shany and Geum Ja navigate their lives as dancers in clubs. They rely on each other as they face the challenges of their environment, including exploitation and the pressures of their dreams.

The film paints a vivid picture of life in Itaewon, showcasing the internal conflicts faced by its characters. Jang Po, the local mob boss, symbolizes the oppressive forces that extort money from the youth in the area. As the characters' tragic love stories unfold, the film presents a raw depiction of ambition and despair under the Itaewon sky.
