Dong-hwa

"Dong-hwa" follows the story of a young man, Dong-hwa, who aspires to be a priest like his father in a small country village. His life changes when Eun-jeong moves into the village, bringing with her a hidden secret that draws Dong-hwa's interest. As the village faces potential development led by Eun-jeong's step-father, tensions rise, particularly with Dong-hwa's father, Jin-suk, opposing these changes.

The film delves into the impact of external pressures on personal relationships and the struggles of youth against the backdrop of societal expectations. Dong-hwa's friendship with Joon-sang also plays a crucial role, as Joon-sang ultimately leaves the village due to the looming developments.
