Don't Play the Fool...

The story unfolds as Americans are determined to discover a diamond deposit in a village in Arkhangelsk. They send a black veteran, who had served during World War II, to oversee the operation. As a distraction, a massive barrel of alcohol is thrown ashore, leading to unexpected festivities.

Philemon, a local blacksmith, seizes the opportunity when he catches the barrel. The villagers organize celebrations, and the American submariners find themselves drawn into the festivities against their will. This unconventional setup blends adventure with comedy, showcasing cultural interactions in a lighthearted manner.
