Door to the Sea

The film follows Ken, a newspaper carrier who attends college without proper enrollment. He becomes involved with Haru after she witnesses him stealing from an archaeology laboratory. Their connection grows as they navigate their complicated relationship, but Ken's recurring thefts lead to further complications.

An associate professor, Shikishima, becomes intertwined in their lives when he confesses to Haru that she resembles his deceased girlfriend.
