Double Impact is a curious blend of action and drama, showcasing Van Damme in a dual role that’s a bit of a novelty. The film leans heavily on its Hong Kong setting, with a vibrant atmosphere that really contrasts Chad's polished Parisian upbringing. The fight choreography has that classic early '90s flair—lots of practical effects and some impressive stunts, especially in the climactic showdown. The pacing can feel uneven at times, but it has these moments of genuine tension that pull you in. Also, the way it explores themes of brotherhood and identity, amidst the chaos of crime and revenge, gives it a little more depth than you'd expect from a straightforward action flick.
