The film follows Jasper, an eleven-year-old boy who wants to meet his father. His mother, Maike, must track down the potential candidates from her past, including a farmer, a car mechanic, and a former heartthrob from their village. With his little sister Luise in tow, they journey back to Maike's hometown of Füdrum, where old memories and unresolved issues resurface.
