Drugstore Girl

The film follows Keiko, a pharmaceutical student who, after discovering her boyfriend's affair, decides to escape her life by hopping on a train. She arrives in a town called Masao in the suburbs of Tokyo, where she takes a part-time job at a new drugstore.

As Keiko navigates her new surroundings, she captures the attention of the local middle-aged men, who are drawn to her personality and charm. In a twist, they become inspired to take up lacrosse, her favorite sport, creating a unique blend of romance and community spirit. With a runtime of 105 minutes, Drugstore Girl combines elements of comedy and romance while exploring themes of love and self-discovery in an unfamiliar setting.
