The idea of a T-Rex rampaging through Southern California after being infected with the Ebola virus is just wild. The atmosphere is a mix of tense horror and outrageous camp – you can’t help but feel the creators had a blast making this. The practical effects are surprisingly decent for a low-budget flick, especially considering the creature effects; there's a certain retro vibe that adds to its quirks. The performances are a mixed bag, but the zeal of the leads, particularly the General and that renegade soldier, really captures the over-the-top spirit. It's a strange blend of action and horror with a dash of dark humor that makes it stand out.
