Een Engel Van Een Man

The film follows Prosper De Leeuw, a well-behaved grocer from Lier who is also an active member of a choir named "Het Ruisende riet". His dedication leads the choir to victory in Antwerp, but a mishap at a celebration changes everything. Prosper accidentally breaks a valuable vase and is subsequently thrown out, leaving him penniless and in a dire situation.

As the story unfolds, Prosper contracts severe pneumonia, shocking the entire town when he finds himself on his deathbed.
