Een Gebeuren

The video installation "Een Gebeuren" is rooted in the original performance by Ben d’Armagnac, which involved him in a glass cube with freshly hatched flies. In this reinterpretation, Philipp Gufler uses a GoPro camera to document the process of scraping off the paint from inside the cube. This method allows viewers to experience the meticulous action of revealing the interior space from a new perspective.

Gufler's work not only reconstructs d’Armagnac’s performance but also enhances it by culminating in the release of the flies, adding a layer of complexity to the original concept.
